As a result of operations, a net deficit of $285.7 million was experienced during the first half of the fiscal year and 33.3 percent of the budget. This represents a 61.1 percent ($448.6 million) reduction in the deficit compared to the prior year.
Net borrowing activities increased the Central Government's debt by $395.6 million and stood at 96.4 percent of the GDP at the end of December 2021.
